I’m a globally versatile executive, entrepreneur, and innovation strategist with over two decades of experience in brand development, communication research, and business transformation. As the Founder of the Foresight Strategy Group, I lead a boutique consultancy that delivers innovation research and marketing strategies designed to unlock growth.

Throughout my career, I’ve partnered with Fortune 500 brands to reimagine their marketing and innovation strategies. My approach begins with identifying the core business challenge, asking the right questions, and crafting strategies that outpace the competition.

My passion for helping companies be the best at their game has also extended internally driving the development of strategic philosophies that helped differentiate the organizations I’ve worked for. I founded a global training initiative that enhanced the strategic thinking and analytical capabilities of professionals, leading to better storytelling and stronger client retention. I also developed a strategic framing of a framework that captures and communicates a unified brand experience across every customer touchpoint. Many of these philosophies continue to shape the organizations I’ve worked with today.

I’m known for dynamic presentations, compelling storytelling, and thought leadership. I thrive as a trusted advisor, avid blogger, and passionate mentor. My leadership style is bold, balanced, and deeply collaborative driven by a commitment to innovation and purposeful growth.

On a personal note, I’m a mother, wife, and cook. Creating a warm, welcoming home where my family can build lasting memories is essential to my well-being. For me, that starts in the kitchen. Whether it’s my Jamaican heritage or my love for hosting, the kitchen will always be the heart of my home.

I grew up in Montreal as a passionate person of nature. During my teenage years, I decided to pursue a career in mineral exploration and mining. That journey took me from studying a gold deposit in British Columbia in the early 1980s, to doing research on a gold mine in Papua New Guinea at the Paris School of Mines in the late 1980s, and eventually into management consulting with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Toronto. 

In the 1990s, one of the largest mining booms in the world unfolded in Chile, where 40 mines were built through investments totaling USD 12 billion – many of them by Canadian companies. I led PwC’s mining practice in Chile and across Latin America for six years before returning to Canada in 2000 in a similar capacity. 

In 2002, IBM acquired PwC’s consulting practice, and I assumed a leadership role in North America overseeing the mining sector and a team of 160 consultants focused on improving physical asset management. 

In 2006, I went back to my roots in mineral exploration, taking on senior management, strategic advisory, and Board of Directors roles, positions I continue to hold today. These have included Canadian-based, publicly traded junior exploration companies such as: 

• Azimut Exploration – 29 strategic agreements with major mining and junior exploration companies, representing CAD 90M in work commitments 

• Guyana Goldfields – Grew to a CAD 700M valuation 

• Donner Metals – Achieved mine discovery and production in 2013 

• First Uranium Corporation – Completed two complex transactions to sell operations for USD 405M and merged with Algold Resources 

• Quebec Precious Metals Corporation – Created the company, expanded its gold resources, and successfully sold it at a 33% market premium 

I have also invested, and continue to invest, a significant amount of my time in non-profit organizations in the mining industry. Notably, I’ve served as a Board Member with Mining Matters, an organization dedicated to educating young people about earth sciences and the mineral industry, and as Chair of the Board of Minalliance, a communication fund that helped raise public awareness of the mineral industry. 

On the personal front, serendipity brought my wife into my life over 10 years ago, and we live every day with appreciation for the gift and blessing of each moment. My two children and her grandchildren bring endless joy and precious memories. Health, good food, and exercise are also very important parts of my life.

As a member of a TEC CEO group for more than 10 years while leading a $300M business, I had the privilege of sharing experiences with other executives and business owners—gaining perspective and working through real-time problem resolution. Through this experience, I witnessed firsthand the powerful impact TEC has on both the growth of businesses and the personal development of its members.

In my role as a TEC Chair, I work with high achievers who are often at a re-evaluation stage in their lives and businesses. I help them clarify where they want to go and find a way forward that works for them—one that allows them to be proud of their choices and sleep well at night.

With a passion for leadership and employee development, I became a Certified Executive Coach in 2009 through Royal Roads University (ICF-accredited). That training, along with years of hands-on leadership, has been instrumental in my corporate career and in supporting my TEC groups.

My 30-year business career spans CEO, COO, VP, and operations roles at public and private companies, successfully leading organizations at local, regional, and national levels. I was fortunate to experience the value of working closely with high-level boards of directors, which shaped my leadership perspective and growth.

For over two decades, I helped scale an Alberta-based staffing and recruiting firm from a regional player into the largest privately held staffing organization in Canada. My experience includes leading major rebranding initiatives, serving as executive sponsor on enterprise system integrations, and guiding large-scale organizational change.

Throughout my career, I’ve led organizations with multiple brands and diverse service lines in fast-paced environments—always with a focus on sales performance, operational excellence, and customer impact. My areas of deep expertise include:

Originally from Wales, UK, I’ve worked in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand before settling in Canada in 1995 and proudly becoming a Canadian citizen in 2008.

I live in the Calgary area with my wife, Alyson, and our three dogs—who have happily stepped in as our “replacement kids” since our three adult children left the nest. Outside of work, I can usually be found on the soccer pitch with Villains O55 in the Calgary league, out on my motorcycle, playing golf, strumming a guitar, or running with the dogs.
